New Favorite Recipe!?!

I love peanut butter & chocolate.  This was in my new "cook once for 30 days" cookbook (thanks, Scott & Jessica!)...so it's supposed to freeze well.  And I'd better get these into the freezer; otherwise, I'm likely to eat them all.  YUMMY!!!!

FROZEN PEANUT BUTTER BARS

1 c. butter or margarine
2 c. peanut butter, creamy
2 1/2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1 3/4 c. powdered sugar
2 c.  choc. chips (semi-sweet or milk chocolate)
1/3 c. milk

In a large saucepan, melt butter & peanut butter together.  Mix well.  Remove from heat.  Add crumbs and pwd. sugar, mixing well.  Spread peanut butter mixture in a jelly roll (for thinner bars) or 9x13 (for thicker bars).  Chill.
When the peanut butter layer is firm, melt chocolate chips with milk over low heat.  Spread over chilled peanut butter mixture.  Chill again.

T.M.I.

(You may have already seen this on FB...but I was afraid I may forget.)

While walking past Rick and yanking up on her belt loops, Abbie blurts out: 

"My jeans are falling down."

Rick to Abbie "That's t.m.i." 

Abbie: "What's t.m.i.?" 

(2 seconds later(?), while working on something else at the kitchen table)

Ethan: "Tari Is Mean" Then he corrected himself and said, "No, that's T-I-M. Tim."

Tender Heart

Last night, I teased Abbie about whether she may want to skip our weekend getaway so that she could stay & play in her basketball game.

Ethan chimed in.  "I may like to stay behind."  I said, "It would just be you & the 2 cats, Bud.  What would you do?  Everyone else is going to WI."

His eyes teared up.  "Well, Jacob E..."   Abbie interrupts, "His BFF."  "Is Jacob E. your BFF?", I asked...already knowing the answer.   Ethan nodded trying not to let the tears spill out.  "Jacob said he would miss me while I was gone...so I thought that maybe I should stay."

AWWWHHHH!!!!   Who would guess that in a family of 3 girls & 1 boy, it would be our son crying about leaving his b.f.f. for a long weekend?!?
